Oklahoma
City - Kevin Durant scored 17 of his 36 points in
the fourth period leading the Thunder in beating the
Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, 105-94, tuesday
night.
Together with guard Russell
Westbrook, they outscored the Heat points output,
41-40 in the second half.
Westbrook found his rhythm after
a slow start finishing with 27 points, 11 assists
and 8 rebounds for the Thunder.
OKC Thunder end the third quarter
strong that gave them the lead for good.
Durant, the NBA scoring champ,
took it from there and put on a amazing fourth
quarter performance. Shooting in every possible way,
he finished with 12 of 20 shooting clip from the
field and eight rebounds.
Lebron James finished with 30
points, but can only manage to score a basket in the
last 8:45 in the fourth.
The Thunder fans chanted "MVP!
MVP!" towards the end of the game. Not referring to
James, who won the regular season MVP, but Durant,
who played like one in Game 1 of the series.
Durant and James are seeking
their first NBA Championship ring - and maybe, the
title of "The Best Player In The Planet".
