NU Bulldogs' Bobby Ray Parks
again, led the charge scoring 19 points and got a much
needed support from Gelo Alolino, Denice Villamor with
10 and 8 points respectively. While Emmanuel Mbe, the
tournament's Best Defensive Player, contributed 13
markers and 15 boards. Parks hit a clutch 3-pointer and
a buzzer-beater in the third period for a 44-41 lead.
DLSU veteran guard LA Revilla
drilled a back-to-back treys and Almond Vosotros scored
on a long jumper and trim the Bulldogs' advantage to
five, 57-52 with 2 minutes left in the fourth. But the
Bulldogs countered the Archers attack behind Alolino,
scoring 4 of his 10 points in the final minutes and
secure the win for the Sampaloc-based cagers.
In the first half, it was a nip
and tuck affair, several deadlocks and lead changes. The
Archers even had a 26-18 advantage in the second quarter
before Parks led a Bulldogs 10-0 attack grabbing the
lead at half time, 28-26.
NU out-rebounded DLSU, 47-41 and
in fastbreak points, 8-2 but the Archers has 14 assists
compare to the Bulldogs 9 assists.
Meanwhile, Ateneo claim third
place after disposing San Beda, 66-55.

Slaughter was dominant once again, scoring 24 points and
11 rebounds including 12 of 17 points of Ateneo in the
final period.
