NLEX Road Warriors notch third PBA D-League crown

NLEX Road Warriors made a historic feat, three
straight championships and a rare sweep of the
conference (13-0) as they rout the Big Chill
Superchargers, 82-62 in Game 2 of the PBA D-League
Foundation's Cup, yesterday at the Ynares Sports
Arena in Pasig City.
Former Ateneo guard, Emman Monfort step up bigtime
in the scoring 13 points, Ian Sangalang had 11 while
Calvin Abueva, Garvo Laneta and Kirk Long scored 10
points apiece for the Road Warriors.
NLEX outrun Big Chill scoring 12 fastbreak points
compare to the Superchargers' five.
Big Chill try to counter in the third quarter as
they momentarily stop the NLEX run trimming the lead
to seven, 42-35.
In the final quarter, NLEX unloaded a barrage of
offensive attacks, including a back-to-back
3-pointers from Long and Abueva and broke the game
wide open, leading as much as 22 points and virtualy
capped the win for the Road warriors.
Raffy Reyes led the Superchargers in scoring with 19
points while Mac Montilla and Keith Jensen combined
to score 25 points.
