Smart Gilas II Philippine
National Men's Basketball team held its first-ever
practice session with new head coach, Chot Reyes,
last June 5, 2012 at the Arena in San Juan.
All sixteen PBA players selected
by Coach Chot attended the practice session Jimmy
Alapag, Jason Castro, Kelly Williams, Gary David,
Gabe Norwood, LA Tenorio, Ryan Reyes, Larry Fonacier,
Ranidel De Ocampo, Sonny Thoss and Enrico Villanueva
and late additions to the PBA pool of players were,
JV Casio, Jeff Chan, Jared Dillinger, Mac Baracael
and Sol Mercado participated in the 45-minute
workout.
Ryan Reyes did not participated
due to an injury (hyper-extended knee).
The coaching staff were also
present led by coach Jong Uichico, Ryan Gregorio,
Nash Racela and Josh Reyes and team manager Butch
Antonio.
The team will have their regular
practice every monday evening.
The team will try to land a spot
in 2013 FIBA-Asia Championship and qualify for the
2014 FIBA World Championship. |
